Founded in 2016, MWV Environmental Services, Inc. is a Detroit-based environmental contracting firm specializing in asbestos abatement, mold remediation, lead paint stabilization, hazardous material removal, selective demolition, junk removal, and tire removal services. Katrenia B. Moncrief
Owner + Founder
Katrenia B. Moncrief is the founder and owner of MWV Environmental Services, Inc. She is also a proud Veteran of the United States Army and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Baker College in Leadership, Management, and Project Management.
With over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, tool and die manufacturing, demolition, and environmental services, Katrenia remains actively involved in daily operations, overseeing project management, regulatory compliance, and client relations.
Katrenia is recognized for her hands-on leadership style, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Her commitment to excellence, integrity, and strong client relationships has positioned MWV Environmental Services as a reliable and respected name in the industry.

Thomas “Chris” McGee
Operations Manager
Thomas “Chris” McGee is a proud resident of Detroit, Michigan, and serves as the Operations Manager at MWV Environmental Services, Inc. He brings extensive hands-on expertise in environmental remediation and job site operations.
Chris plays a critical role in overseeing field crews, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements. With a strong background in municipal services, construction, and environmental services, he is known for his leadership in the field, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
He works closely with project managers and safety personnel to ensure all abatement and remediation activities are executed to specification. Chris is dedicated to team performance, site safety, and delivering consistent, high-quality results—contributing to MWV Environmental Services’ reputation as a trusted and reliable contractor.

Juliette T. Brooks
Office Manager
Juliette T. Brooks serves as the Office Manager for MWV Environmental Services, Inc. She is a graduate of Finney High School and brings extensive experience in administrative services. Juliette is also a commissioned Notary Public, providing an added level of support and efficiency to the organization. Prior to joining MWV, she was employed by the Detroit Media Partnership for over 18 years, where she developed strong organizational and operational skills.
Juliette oversees the day-to-day operations of the office while supporting the management team across all areas of the organization. Her responsibilities include managing office systems, ordering supplies, maintaining spreadsheets and expense tracking, preparing schedules, and providing comprehensive administrative support.
Known for her reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic, Juliette plays a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. She also provides direct support to leadership, ensuring both professional and administrative priorities are executed seamlessly.

Sonya M. Jones
Executive Vice President
Sonya Jones serves as the Executive Vice President of MWV Environmental Services, Inc., where she plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, strategic growth, and organizational development. With a strong foundation in both leadership and compliance-driven industries, she brings a results-oriented approach to managing complex environmental projects.
A proud Veteran of the United States Army, Sonya carries forward the discipline, integrity, and leadership principles gained through her military service into her professional career. These values continue to shape her commitment to excellence and accountability across all areas of the organization.
Sonya holds a degree in Human Resources Management, which has equipped her with deep expertise in workforce development, employee relations, and organizational structure. Her ability to align people, processes, and performance has been instrumental in building high-performing teams and maintaining a culture of accountability and excellence.
In addition to her HR background, Sonya is certified in asbestos abatement, with extensive knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. She ensures that all operations are conducted with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
As Executive Vice President, Sonya oversees multiple departments, including operations, compliance, and business development. Her leadership has contributed to the company’s continued growth and strong reputation within the environmental services industry.

Alisa Cleveland
Safety Manager
Alisa Cleveland serves as the Safety Manager at MWV Environmental Services, Inc., bringing over 25 years of experience in occupational safety and health. She specializes in developing comprehensive safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering safer work environments across all job sites.
Alisa takes a hands-on approach to identifying risks, reducing incidents, and implementing proactive safety measures. She is committed to promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring that every project is executed with the highest standards of health and safety.

Louie Ferrer
Project Manager + Estimator
Experienced Project Manager and Estimator with over 10 years of leadership experience in environmental services, demolition, and construction operations across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Proven track record of leading and developing crews, coordinating job site logistics, and supporting estimating operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Extensive background in environmental remediation, hazardous material handling, asbestos and lead abatement, and regulatory compliance.
OSHA 30 Certified with First Aid/CPR training, demonstrating a strong commitment to workplace safety, risk management, and adherence to industry standards. Skilled in conducting safety meetings, enforcing compliance protocols, maintaining detailed project documentation, and overseeing containment systems, air monitoring, and site preparation activities. Experienced in supervising multiple job sites simultaneously, managing labor and equipment allocation, assisting with project estimates, and resolving on-site operational challenges efficiently.
